2020 has started well - despite its twists and turns
May 2020
The last few months have been a blessed, but strange season. Enjoy some impressions below of my daily life in Yei and also of my travel to Nuba mountains.

Joyous end to 2018
November 2018
The joy was tremendous when we were able to celebrate the 2018 graduation at ECC. It was a sign of peace to everyone around and many dignitaries attended. Emmanuel Christian Academy organised a school day in the third term to connect with the parents.
God's grace through storms
May - September 2018
The past few months came with many storms: an attack on our compound in Goli which led to the closure of the primary school and the departing of our main donor and with it some of our colleagues. Only after a while one realizes how much these things impact. Still we are grateful to testify God's goodness amidst it all and we continue trusting that green pastures are ahead.
2018 in full swing
January - May 2018
Before we knew it the new year had begun and all the college activities were taken up. Since then, we have taught many courses - the first term is already over.
Besides the college, I am now more involved in the secondary and primary school - Emmanuel Christian Academy.

We did it! :-)
October - December 2017
The academic year has come to an end. We are so grateful for what we were able to achieve and we can't wait to hear the stories of impact in the different regions of the country!

Back to business after a break
February 2017
South Sudan has been at war for over seven months now. Our town has changed, but we are priviledged to be back. Thousands are in refugee camps. May real peace come soon!
After a rather eventful second half of 2016, I had some months of rest within East Africa. Now we are back in South Sudan and will start our programs this month.
Please pray for South Sudan
July / August 2016
Instead of celebrating 5 years of independence (see below for pictures from 5 years ago!), fighting has erupted again. The people are tired and want peace. May it come soon!
